CTP insurance (or Green Slip insurance in NSW) is mandatory in all states and territories in Australia. However, while some state governments offer this as part of vehicle registration, others have a list of approved insurers from which you can buy cover. Yes – AAMI does give you the option to pay your premiums annually instead of monthly, enabling you to save more on the cost of your policy overall.
AAMI doesn’t offer any discounts for multi-policyholders or pensioners on their car insurance products. However, if you’re a driver under 25 holding Comprehensive Car Insurance, you can receive a discount of up to 10% by completing their Skilled Driver Course.
As of June 2023, AAMI’s no-claim discount program (known as AAMI Safe Driver Rewards) can offer you both a discount on your policy and a credit on your roadside assistance if you go an extended period without making a claim. These are as follows:
