Yes – CGU offers car owners the ability to choose between market and agreed value cover. This means in the event your car is declared a total loss, the payout you receive will either be based on your car’s market value at the time of the incident or a pre-determined amount as agreed upon by you and CGU.
Yes – provided the repairer you choose meets CGU’s requirements in terms of price and appropriate licences, you can select your own repairer.
As of July 2023, CGU only offers car insurance to residents of New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Tasmania and the ACT. If you’re living in South Australia, Western Australia or the Northern Territory, CGU states that you can purchase cover through one of its partners or directly through NRMA.
