Cate Cook is a Senior Finance Writer at Savvy. Raised in Adelaide, but educated in the UK, Cate started her career in journalism in 1984, then returned to South Australia in 1987 as a senior reporter for the Advertiser Group. She worked as a magazine editor for BHP, then wrote and published a weekly newspaper in East Arnhemland. Returning to SA in 1996, Cate started a career with the SA Government in media and communication roles. Once she started day trading on the Australian stock market in 2008, Cate found she loved the discipline and thrill of day trading. She was soon teaching others how to trade Contracts for Difference (CFDs), which she did for a decade before joining Savvy. Her publications include a coffee table book about tennis and a historical reference book of wooden fishing boats in South Australia. Cate has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Cardiff University, and a Diploma in Business Management.
